TL;DR
A durable, versatile daily trainer with a wide toe box and grippy outsole that fans love for runs, work, and all-day standing. A vocal minority find it stiff, firm, and brick-like, with some reporting arch or tendon pain.

Returned it. Pain around the arches about 10 mins into a run. Stopped and thought maybe it just needs a break in period. Ran the next day and 10 mins into it the same arch pain.

these are one of the comfiest pairs I've ever had! I have wide feet & also struggle with quite bad plantar fasciitis and these fit really nicely & definitely don't make the PF worse.

I have a pair and they are a pretty good all rounder option. I got some Adidas Evo SL about 3 months ago which were cheaper and are a much nicer shoe to run in for the workouts you mentioned tho

Good for daily easy runs, lalo na if new to running, but if you're going to use it for speed run, cushioning /sole is too thin for me to the point na umiinit paa ko.

I actually love them. I feel like they are the perfect hybrid for daily wear. They match with basically every outfit, and are athletic and solid for quick agility like movements

When I tried them on with a view to buying I was shocked with how horrible they felt. Really surprised people bill them as a daily shoe - they'd shred my feet if I tried to use them as that.

I really like my Pegasus 41's, but I'm pretty new to running and don't have much to compare them to. I've taken them on a couple 10km runs, and quite a few 5km runs and they feel great to me!

Yeah I have 300 miles on a pair. Reliable but boring. They were my first real pair of running shoes. Felt great, then bought some EVO SLs to rotate with and I realized how boring the Pegasus were.

the Pegasus seems to be giving me a few issues ( pain and inflammation in the posterior tibial tendon to be precise), and the Rincon didn't give me any problems at all.

Pegasus for me is fine for daily mileage up to about 5 miles, with unremarkable energy return. I have now delegated mine to treadmill miles.

The Pegasus 41s didn't feel like something I'd like to wear for daily miles either. I just couldn't imagine them working for me. They both just felt so dead.

I don’t run in them but I work in them. I work at Lowe’s and walk about 5 miles a day and they’re great! I have a few pairs in different colors and it’s the most comfort I’ve ever had in shoes.

Couple of weeks back, got a Nike Pegasus 41 for rotation. After a couple of days of using Pegasus, got a pretty painful shin splint today morning. Have run using different Gel cumulus, but never faced any problem.

I like them because they’re not as expensive or engineered as the other shoes. I like to really focus on running on my mid foot and I feel like these help me while also being a great walking shoe

I have about 200km on mine. It is not as fast or bouncy as other modern trainers. But it is comfortable enough to cover the easy runs.

I like the Pegs a lot for what they are. IMO the big thing that separates them from most other modern shoes isn't the stack height, cushioning, etc. but the geometry. They have no rocker whatsoever!

Okay for me, I use it as my daily trainer too. Also, this is also what I used at the last Ayala Philippine Marathon and Santé Barley Leg 1.

I have both and as a taller runner (6’5) and 82kg, I much prefer the Novablast. The Pegasus doesn’t have enough under the forefoot for me.

r/AskRunningShoeGeeks▲ recommend

My body needs a pair of boring shoes like the pegs. The wide toe box, high heel drop, ground feel in the forefoot works really well for me. It's not too soft, not too hard. I have no pain in the pegs

I’ve had mine for over a year now as my everyday shoes. No real complaints until recently, as the right shoe is starting to wear through and give me blisters on my ankle. But again, this is a year of heavy use, so I can understand it.

I’ve got the 39 and 41, no comparison. The 39 feels more willing to be aggressive if you want them to be but the 41 is just a bit nothing.

Kind of a boring shoe. Which is both good and bad. Solid mid daily trainer but doesn’t have much advantage over other shoes.

Hands down best shoes I’ve ever bought. I had the supernovas before and some clouds. For the price, I got them for $100, best shoes I’ve ever used hands down.

Pegasus ain’t it really. It feels like a brick compared to other daily trainers in the same price range. I prefer using the Rebel V4s.
