Hoka Clifton 9

Based on 20 comments across 3 communities
TL;DR
A light, well-cushioned daily trainer with a smooth rockered ride that runners find comfortable and reliable for easy miles. Some report the cushioning going flat after 100-150 miles and heel-collar rubbing.

Sobrang light weight, weighing 247g and cushioned kaya goods for long distances runs. Uppers nya is breathable. Overall good, medyo overpriced lang kaya bilhin nyo yung naka sale na colorway

The New Balance 1080 v12 bottomed out badly for me. The Hokas don't, and the feel reminds me of the 1080 v11, though maybe a touch softer. They definitely aren't shoes to go fast in though.

I pushed mine to about 140 miles + whatever milage I have from daily walking in it for about 6 months - looking for replacement shoes now

I actually like walking in them more than running so count me as one of those people. Started off running in them but grew to like other shoes more for that purpose.

I got a pair of the Clifton 9s and for fitted for some insoles at my local running store. I am loving them. I work retail and my mood is just better walking around in shoes that don’t hurt my feet.

Hoka Clifton’s hurt my knees and I don’t like the high back because it rubs the back of my heel wrong and I have to tape.

Other than that, cant say they are not comfortable. They have the good amount of bounce without the sinking feel of more cushioned shoes. If you need a generous toebox, they are great in that regard too!

If you're a runner looking for a highly cushioned daily trainer with a rockered ride, the Clifton 9 will deliver. The Clifton 9 has a high level of stability and feels efficient over long distances.

Mine feel kinda dead after 100-150 miles. I may just run them to 200 n call it

Clifton 9s are very comfortable ran my first marathon in these ( they had over 500 mile on them at the time ) and they still had good cushioning ! My first marathon was 3h 35mins I would highly recommended cliftons

Have about 300 miles on mine. They are super comfortable and great for easy miles and as a vacation shoe, but not as exciting or versatile as the 8s.

Tried Clifton 9s and they're super comfy when I put them on and the rocker had me shook the first time I wore them, I just can't go all day in them without some discomfort. For running they're not quite as responsive as I would like

Love the Clifton 9. I liked my 8s as well. The wide option makes all the difference in the world. I actually have that color way in regular but my foot falls asleep when I run in them. I got a second pair in wide and it was wonderful.

provides some stability, feels like it's guiding my ankle to land on a more correct(?) angle/direction every step lots of cushioning. almost feels like my arch is flattened out when I run? pretty extremely comfortable, especially walking

The Clifton 9s were my first running shoes. I had to retire them after three months at around 320 miles.

clifton is thick, rocker based (though not extreme), softer, harder to pick up the pace in.

Find them to be a better shoe over the 8s. The 8 is just too squishy for my tastes and the 9 feels more responsive.

I'm on mile 225 of my Clifton 9s, and I can honestly say this is the best set of trainers I've ever had.

It's a nice comfortable shoe and great for long runs, but they are a bit ploddy.

They are o-k.

it's lighter and snappier than the Clifton 8 and is a reliable shoe for easy miles

These shoes perform well on all surfaces I’ve tried so far.
