I had a Q5 Pro and was very happy with the vacuuming but the mopping was terrible, it wouldn't continuously wet the area it was supposed to be mopping. I returned it and got the Q8 Max

Did the initial mapping and then first clean of my downstairs and honestly, I’m very impressed with the amount of dirt it picked up. I just bought a 2nd for my upstairs….

I ran a Dyson over that same room and didn't even complete vacuuming before the Dyson died, but it picked up so much more dust, dirt and hair than the Roborock did. So, did I get a dud, or is the Q5 Pro+ not the appropriate machine for medium pile carpet?

I have Q5 Pro. Reminds me of my first Xiaomi robot I got in 2018. About water..Not that hard to maintain. Fill the cartridge with water and wash mop with water and put it on. You're good to go. Water cartridge is small.

We got a Roborock Q5 Pro to replace our old vac. Almost never gets stuck. Other than periodic cleaning (2 long haired dogs) we hardly have to touch it. Cleans well.

I noticed it is doing worse on low pile carpets. It is doing a decent job on the medium pile carpets I have, or at least I can't see visible dirt or food particles. On low pile carpets it is doing a very bad job, I can see dirt everywhere after couple of times trying back to back.

We initially had a Roborock (Q5+ pro) but it sucked. It was a cheaper model of course but it just didn't vacuum very well at all and we always had to do extra vacuuming with the darn thing. It's obstacle handling was TERRIBLE tho. It ate everything possible and was clogged literally every day.

If you want a reliable, smart, and genuinely effective robot vacuum without selling a kidney, the Roborock Q5 Pro earns a hearty sparkle of approval from us.

When I got my Q5 mop a little less than a year ago I was very pleased with it because it was quiet and did a decent job of mopping. I run it nearly daily. However, I'm running into issues: Its radar failed about 3 months in.

I have 3 of them, and I partially agree - it doesn't do as good on smooth tile/concrete floors as the other heavier robots. But I would not say it's junk, it's just lighter and doesn't push down into the floor as well. It's a champ on low pile carpet and complex areas

I got a Q5 Pro without the dock about 2 months ago. I've been very happy with it, it only takes 30 seconds to dump the dust bin. Not worth paying 2X IMO.

This is the first vacuum I got and I think it is pretty much perfect - so long as you only want to vacuum. None of the budget models mop well at all

Mopping is regular as usual…only works fine first week. Rest of things are really good.

Bought the Q5pro for a similar price and it's fantastic. I wrote off robovacs about 7-8 years ago but man did technology advance on these things.

While there are undeniably some great things about the Roborock Q5 Pro robot vacuum - the price point, a brilliant app, ease of use in general, large bin and not a hair tangle to be seen on its rollers - it doesn't deliver especially consistent cleaning. Mopping in particular feels like an afterthought.

I live in an apartment so found the Q5 pro sufficient. I don’t need to empty that often and the dock is placed right next to the bin.

as long as you still could get a Q5 Pro somewhere, I'd pick that one. Especially when dockless, just for the insanely huge dustbin.

Balancing the features and performance, this vacuum delivers strong value for money. Its combination of powerful suction, advanced navigation, and the ability to vacuum and mop simultaneously offers a lot for households juggling pets, carpets, and hard floors.

We've had our Q5 Pro for about 5 months and use it daily. Works great for us on tile and carpet.

the roborock q5pro+ follows a perfect straight line and is much more efficient when cleaning

I'm very impressed with the new unit in terms of noise, run-time, and pickup in general.

Roborock has so many more features, much better hardware and quality. HUGE dust bin.

Its powerful suction, smart navigation, and impressive feature set make it a strong contender in its class, and it performs so well for its price that it's easy to recommend. The mopping function could be better, but for $249 / £299, it's hard to fault the Q5 Pro for anything else.
