It took less than a year for our Roomba j7 to trash our shoe molding. It runs over the corners of the shoe molding and runs over the top of it when it runs in a straight line.

I've had my J7+ for over a month. Only had a image capture issue with obstacles. A factory reset from customer support fixed it. Other than that, everything has been perfect.

It also has many advanced automation features and feels amazingly well-built. Unfortunately, its performance on low-pile carpet and bare floors is notably inferior to older models.

It's pretty good, but I don't like how it bumps into furniture, I thought the camera was supposed to avoid that too but I was wrong. It's still a big help though

The J7 is much better at slowing down for dark colored furniture and baseboards. In tight spaces or if it gets confused it’ll occasionally go full speed into something but it’s rare compared to my old i7.

My roomba j7 is my second iRobot vacuum and it will be my last iRobot vacuum. I’ve seen much better reviews for other brands on the market while researching my next purchase.

my Roomba J7+ may still vacuum very well, but I let my toddler amuse himself by running it for fun. My Eufy and Narwal actually keep the rest of the house clean, vacuuming and mopping, on the regular.

I then returned it and exchanged it for an iRobot roomba j7 and noticed an even worse quality delivery for robot vacuums and became quite disappointed with iRobots quality.

I am now very happy with my j7. I have a bad back and only have to do a tiny bit of vacuuming, and Swiffering where my BRAAVA m6 and Roomba j7 cannot reach.

I had a Roomba J7 Combo without the dock. It did a decent job at vacuuming and mopping but stopped mopping after a year and a half and it couldn't be fixed.

I’ve owned a refurbished Roomba J7+ for about 3 and a half years now, and it’s still going strong with little to no issues. I have long hair, pet hair, and all carpet floors. I honestly don’t clean it that often, and it still keeps working.

I had the same experience but with the roomba failed with an error every other cleaning and didn’t make it past a week before it just stopped working and wouldn’t even start a cleaning job.

I've had my J7+ for a few months. It's doing great, no problems at all with reliability or performance.

The J7 is not as good as lidar robots in terms of navigation and related features, but it really is better at carpet cleaning in my opinion.

my j7 is terrible at pet hair on carpet. Does the same clumping thing you describe all the time. For whatever reason, an older i7 I have works just fine on the carpet.

r/NARWAL▲ recommend

still impressed over my previous robot vacuum, a Roomba J7. The Flow is extremely quiet in comparison

r/roomba— neutral

It doesn’t have the time or space to slow down so it will hit something harder than usual. But again, it’s not every time it cleans.

I have had a toxic relationship with my J7 since purchasing it 2.5 years ago. It seems to be offline/uncharged/removed itself from it's dock/confused 75% of the time that I go to use it. It is NOISY!

Day two with the J7+ here and there is a funny squeaking noise from the drive wheels and the front side brush motor.

I got the j7+ for and am very happy with it. Having pets the poop promise was my major selling point

r/roomba▼ don’t recommend

our robot always leaves like 10% of the room's dirt behind. Specifically, dirt that gathered around chair legs etc. The spinning brush just pushes that stuff away and then it doesn't come back to clean it up.

the j7 so far is exactly as advertised. I have 2 kids (1 newborn) and 5 dogs in our household, and I can literally run the j7 at any time and the object detection/avoidance has been frankly amazing at going around the inevitable messes (mostly baby and dog toys).

I've moved on from the Roomba J7+ and Braava M6 to the Roborock Saros 10R... You have no idea how much better a robot vacuum / mop can be. Less dirt on the floor, less issues navigating around, less maintenance.

I miss my Roomba 980 with so much better suction power but my new J7 will fill the need for now.
