I just had these and returned them. Too sibilant. Those Ss and Ts were killing me.

YouTube— neutral

Had it happen on mine initially, no issues at all after getting them exchanged for a new pair.

I bought the 900 proX as my first high end headphone for mostly gaming and music. They caused me to spend another 2k on speakers and a schiit stack because id never heard such beatiful sounds. Worth it

I got it, and is was such a dissapointment 🥵 It sounds like a close headphone. No soundstage at all. Returned it back 🤷🏻‍♂️

900 sounds more natural, intimate and less fatiguing but it doesn't stage the same way.

My headband flex also came off. Bass is a bit rolled off on the lower end, but overall the instruments pop in a track.

the DT 700/900 Pro X have some design faults, my pair sadly cracked around the xlr input, don't notice a sound impact, but a headphone cracking like that isn't good.

I'm a music producer and mix my own songs and these headphones are a god sent!!! made my mixes way better and more accurate.

I bought the DT 900 Pro X right after release and I'm very pleased with them.

The r50x wow-ed me, such clear sound, and the sound-stage was present compared to my 900's, costing 100 usd less. With bitter taste I will keep the Beyer

I am very pleased with the sound of the DT900Pro X!

I heard 900 Pro X and they seemed veiled an muddy. I compared with another openbacks - Sennheiser 490 Pro, Audeze MM-100 and Neumann NDH-30. I’m not saying about details cos’ all mentioned more detailed as well

the Beyer DT 700/900 Pro X that I own seem like time bombs with some of the issues they can have with the headband, padding, and plastic cracking - I had to get a warranty replacement on my DT 900 Pro X over spontaneous cracking

Got mine today, so pleased with them. Sounds better than some headphones I've tried for double the price or maybe more.

i had dt 900 recently and from what i call tell you i dont like the bass

YouTube▲ recommend

I def. would recommend them.

The bass is satisfying, the mids and highs are smooth. Frequency response stays the same at low volume (and that is what I appreciate the most) . Headphones will never act like monitors, but this pair is the closest I have experienced.

I got them and I find they're amazing. I constantly hear footsteps before people I spectate, with perfect direction.

I use these for gaming and are fantastic..

DT990 Pro(after more then a year) and 900 Pro X(since release) are now my daily drivers for gaming and music.

Head-Fi▲ recommend

they sound really good for the price (no brainer) and sound very natural and dynamic. They are more kind of a little 1990 without the harshness and not like a DT 990.

I find the 900 Pro X the spiritual heir to the DT880; it retains that unique Beyeresque neutral tone where it’s slightly warm in the low mids with some added sparkle up top. It’s just easier to drive

I have the 900 Pro X and I have to say it's a keeper. Maybe not the most neutral but it has a very attractive sound signature, is comfortable and very easy to drive. I use it regularly. It is better than 990 Pro, and while still bright it's more smooth than 1990 Pro.

Comfortable and great build quality.
