Gosh dang it I should've seen this before I bought mine, this is very accurate

I can absolutely recommend these, even today.

They still serve me well after like 8 years. I no longer use them for music but for gaming when my house is a bit noisy. They isolate like a champ and sound pretty decent with some EQ. But yeah there's better options out there.

The M50x has none of these problems: It's incredibly easy-wearing and consistent, with bass that is far less fussy to whether or not you achieve a perfect seal.

Just got these in too, love the detachable cable.

High frequencies are really in your face, biting

The m50x seems to have an annoying boost around 2k that makes everything sounds harsh.

They are a great, and I mean GREAT budget option, but their longevity is not up to my standards.

I can agree to the pain aspect at high volume, my ears was beeping like I went deaf

I had one for many many years, but ended up with the classic broken hinge that seems very common to this model.

YouTube▲ recommend

It’s good because it is fairly detailed, durable version of a typical cheap consumer headphone.

The right ear in my pair just went today after 9 years, I bought another pair without a second thought.

I rocked the M50Xs for years, switched to DT 770s and never looked back. Loved mine for years, but after switching away from them I can definitely admit that I was heavily influenced by the fact that I saw so many people using them, rather than judging them objectively for what they were.

now after 2 years of use i must say that those are called monitors for reason. And i want them for play games and listen for music.

They can be beat up and somewhat abused and in my years of owning them I have never once regretted owning them.

I fell for the marketing. Thanks man I subbed because I know after owning these for a few years that your are right.

They aren't really top tier quality but is like owning a very good pair of consumer headphones.

I've owned a set of these forever. Very bassy in an unpleasant way to me. Sure other than that upper bass boost they come pretty close to the harman curve, but that ruins them for me.

This was my first set of decent headphones some years ago. I still have a pair that I use for monitoring in live performance and they work well in that setting.

Well its 2020 and I'm still using them, no issues at all.

Without equalization the sound was fine. Bass was exaggerated a bit depending on content. Spatial qualities were low with sound on each side of the ear.

had these for almost 6 years now and ive been using them daily a lot, only swapped the pads once and they still work like brand new, literally built like the tank and they still sound absolutely amazing

Now whenever I listen to the M50, I just think they sound so awful. Especially the bass - it muddies up everything. I prefer budget headphones and earbuds (think: Skullcandy) over these.
