Fitbit Charge 6

Based on 429 comments across 1 community
TL;DR
Owners are genuinely split on the Charge 6. Fans love the slim, sleep-on-it comfort, weeklong battery, low price, and heart-rate readings that match chest straps and cuffs. But a large share report the opposite experience: erratic heart rate (spikes to 150-211 bpm at rest, sometimes double the real rate), phantom or double-counted steps, weak running GPS, and an app that's gotten worse since Google's takeover, with some features (floors, goals) removed and others locked behind Premium. The most damaging complaints are hardware: black screens and dead units within months, and water damage killing devices despite the swim rating.

With my Fitbit Charge 6, the Wallet pin is good for 24 hrs as long as the watch is on my wrist. You don't have to input with every purchase. I like this feature

Exactly the same thing has happened to my Fitbit Charge 6. The sensor is surrounded by a silver oval ring, which is completely undamaged, but the sensor window itself looks exactly like yours did.

I switched from an Apple Watch Ultra to the Fitbit Charge 6. I wanted more sleep data and Apple just isn’t there. Fitbit has a pretty good UX with sleep data.

I also recently had Fitbit charge 6. I think they just give you a rough estimate. If it’s off by like 200-300 steps per day and you walked like 5k-10k, that’s still just a tiny percentage off of less than 4%.

I observe my Charge 6 all the time, and have compared it to a good chest strap. (Polar) Most of the time they line up. Once and a while, the Fitbit goes ape. Jump rope can do it.

My Fitbit calculates my calories too. I’m not sure if they all do it but I own the Charge6. My Fitbit app syncs with MyFitnessPal app and I keep track of my nutrition that way.

Fitbit may be cheaper but the quality and reliability is not there. My Fitbit 6 was very useful for tracking but even still it would completely miss a day of activity for no reason.

I highly recommend a Fitbit Charge 6 for sleep tracking (and steps). I don't really care about the actual sleep score it calculates, all I want to know is the tendancy of that score
