DJI Air 3

Based on 15 comments across 4 communities
TL;DR
A well-rounded mid-range drone praised for strong wind handling, dual cameras, and the upgraded O4 transmission; the main gripes are feature omissions versus the pricier Mavic line and needing the Fly More bundle for extras.

I went from the Air 3 to the Mavic 3 Pro, and now I feel disappointed when I fly the Air 3. The Mavic 3 Pro is a huge upgrade!

Just got mine and love it, although it’s a little bit annoying considering all the omissions when compared to previous flymore packages.

I was able to get my drone into places where his was getting control interference.....I don't know what DJI can add at this point to improve the transmission system more!

I get "Check your WiFi signal" message a lot, even if I'm only 10 feet from my router

My old air 3 produced better video overall and especially at night. The air 3 had it dialled in better the auto white balance was better in certain light conditions too.

As the immediate successor to the Air 2S, the Air 3 is indeed an upgrade in many areas and needs slight improvement in others

Air 3 is solid, just roll with it. Unless you are really in to photography, the current camera setup is solid enough.

I flew in the strong winds in the San Francisco and the Air 3 can dish out the strong winds.

But if you’re a mid-tier creator who wants dual 1/1.3-inch cameras, O4 transmission, omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, and 38+ minutes of real-world flight time at a price that’s dropped into genuinely accessible territory — the Air 3 in 2026 is close to a no-brainer.

I love my Air 3 but I just got an offer to sell it at a pretty decent price.

I upgraded from the Air 2s and have been super happy with the Air 3 so far!

the DJI Air 3 is an accessible option for a serious photographer who doesn’t want all the bells and whistles of something like the DJI Mavic 3 Pro (and its high price point at $2,200) but wants a higher-end, more durable and more powerful pick than something on DJI’s more-affordable end

Air 3 is definitely a great drone and handles wind great.

Air 3 is another boring product from DJI. And by boring, we mean it is pretty flawless and without revolutionary innovation. It works perfectly, has a great camera system, is safe to use, compact, and well-made. Gone are the days of beta testing firmware for DJI, like it was with the original Mavic 3. Now you have all the software features right at launch.
