Canon EOS R10

Based on 23 comments across 4 communities
TL;DR
A favorite sub-$1000 beginner mirrorless: light, great ergonomics, and fast autofocus that punches above its class. The main reservation is Canon's thin native RF-S lens lineup, which pushes some users to other systems.

With editing, my camera photos are way better, esp for low light shots. Without editing, though... lol. My phone's photo generally looks slightly better, and I own a Samsung.

It definitely put more pixels on a distant airplane than the R6 and produced pretty good results, but I really missed the larger field of view and larger viewfinder when I was tracking and framing shots.

you can buy the Canon EOS R10. It is cheaper than the R7 and does a great job. I am using it with Tamron 150-600 G1 and Canon 400 5.6L (paired with a 1.4 TC). It works great.

Honestly, a good beginner camera to pick up but where it lacks is the availability of lenses if you decide to get one in the future.

I’m still using my starter Canon EOS R10, first camera I’ve ever owned. I don’t have the money for more expensive lenses unfortunately but I’m still happy with it!

I bought a Canon EOS R10 a little over a year ago, switched to a Sony A7 III a few months ago due to lack of available lenses.

I was in the same boat and recently bought Canon EOS R10 and it is perfect for me. It has great ergonomics, excellent autofocus and for a beginner camera, lots of manuel control options in my opinion.

I run the living hell out of my Canon EOS R10. Despite it not being weather sealed, I will still use it in rain but with a towel on top of the camera

It’s pretty amazing that the iphone picked it up which even my Canon EOS R10 struggled to do.

I have switched from a Canon EOS R10 which is ultra light and plasticky

The Canon EOS R10 has been my go-to camera, and I absolutely recommend it. It’s super beginner-friendly yet doesn’t skimp on the pro features.

I'm currently using the Canon EOS r10 with the rf 100-400 lens and I freaking love it! This is my hiking/striking running/gunning kit.

Canon EOS R10. I really love it, I travel a lot and it’s the perfect size!

the smaller, lighter and cheaper Canon EOS R10 is just as appealing in its own way, marking a welcome return to form for Canon in the competitive sub-$1000 camera market.

After spending some quality time with the R10, I am sold! It is currently sitting on the shelf next to my 7dmkii and each time I go to pick up a camera, I choose the R10.

_THAT_ AF in that cute little package. Resistance is futile! Lacks this and that, yes. The only real issue, as I see it, is the lack of juice in the LP-E17 battery.

I like the camera and think it's a great value for $1000 but I do feel like I am running into some of its limitations. The R10 is noticeably compact and light but doesn't feel cheaply built or flimsy.

it' a damn great little(well, almost) camera! Feels right in the hands, comfortable UI and wheels and buttons. Great AF, nice metering, pleasing SOOC jpegs
